Day 4 Thimphu valley sightseeing. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 5 Cultural programme in the morning and drive to Gangtey. Lunch in Wangdiphodrang. Overnight at Lodge. Day 6 Gangtey to Gogona, 15kms trail, alt 3100m (Trek begins) Day 7 Gogona to Kothoka, 16kms trail, alt 2790m Week 2 Day 8 Kothoka to Tikke Zam (Chazam), 12kms trail, alt 1300m (Trek ends) Day 9 Morning drive to Thimphu for lunch. Afternoon drive to Paro. On route visit Simtokha Dzong. This dzong is the oldest dzong in the kingdom. Farewell dinner and overnight at Hotel. Highlights Beautiful valley with a low density of people. The rare and little known black nacked crane comes here during the winter months to escape the harsh weather of Tibet.
