1 |
Arrive
Paro. Met and transfer to the hotel. After lunch you will visit the National
Museum, Paro Dzong. Evening explore the Paro town. Welcome dinner and overnight
at hotel. |
Day
2 |
After
breakfast you will drive to Thimphu.
Upon arrival in Thimphu you will visit the Traditional Paper Factory. Check
in and lunch in hotel. After lunch you will visit the Memorial Choeten,
Changangkha Lhakhang,Sangaygang - the view point. Next you will visit the
Dupthop Lhakhang, a nunnery and it has more than 60 practicing nuns. Evening
you will visit the Handicrafts Emporium. Overnight at hotel.
Taktshang Goenpa (Tiger's Next). Evening visit Drukgyel Dzong & Kyichu Lhakhang.

Day
3 |
You
will start your day with visit to the Textile Museum, Folk Heritage Museum,
National Library and Institute for Zorig Chosum - a painting school. Lunch
in town. After lunch you will drive north of Thimphu to visit the Tango
Monastery which is now a college for learning higher Buddhist Philosophy.
It takes about an hour and the trail takes you through the gradual ascends.
The monastery now has about 200 practising monks. Overnight at hotel. |
Day
4 |
After
breakfast you will visit the weekend market. Then you will drive to Punakha across the Dochula
Pass pass (3100m). If weather favors you, then you will get to enjoy
the magnificent views of the eastern Himalayas. Tea stop at the pass. Resume
your journey to Punakha. Check in and lunch at the hotel. After lunch you
will make an excursion to Chimi Lhakhang - a Buddhist temple dedicated
to Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Overnight at hotel. |

Day
5 |
Early
breakfast and start your journey to Trongsa. On route you will visit the
Wangdiphodrang Dzong built in 1638 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Phobjikha
valley is one of the few glacial valleys in Bhutan and chosen home of black
necked cranes which migrate from the Tibetan plateau to escape harsh winters.
Explore the valley. Lunch will be served at Gangey valley. After lunch
you will resume your journey to Trongsa. Overnight at hotel. |
Day
6 |
After
breakfast you will visit the majestic Trongsa Dzong - built in 1644 by
Choegyal Minjur Tempa. It's the most impressive dzong in the country -
most aesthetic and magnificent works of the Bhutanese architecture. Today
you will witness the Trongsa Tshechu. Overnight at hotel. |
Day
7 |
After
breakfast you will witness the unfolding of the Trongsa Thongdrol. Resume
your journey to Jakar ascending to the Yutongla (3400m). Lunch at hotel.
Afternoon you will explore the town. Evening you will visit the Jakar Dzong
- ' Fortress of the white bird.'Overnight at lodge. |
