Holiness the Je Khenpo conferred ceremonial scarves to three lams at Tashichhodzong
promoting them to the rank of Toetsi Jim, a clergical rank equivalent
to that of a deputy minister in the civil service. |

Lam
Namgyel Tshering was appointed as the Yongzing (tutor) of Gyalse
Trulku Tenzin Rabgye in Tango monastery.
Lam
Choeda Jamtsho, (Dataram Acharya) was appointed as the lam of Sibsoo
Tashichholing dratshang. Dataram Acharya is the first Lhotsham Lam in the country.
His
Holiness also awarded a ceremonial scarf to the chairman of the Menjong
Choethuen Tshogpa, Lam Tshering Wangdi of Kheng Gongdue in Mongar,
promoting him to the rank of Toetsi Jim. Lam Tshering was the mastermind
behind the foundation of Choethuen Tshogpas around the country.
Lam
Chencho was appointed as the lam of Dongkola lhakhang.
