» Cyberspace: Reporters Without Borders expressed concern at an escalation in violations of freedom of expression on the Internet by the Nepalese army. Websites have been blocked, bloggers threatened, discussion forums closed and emails increasingly put under surveillance.

» Ambush: Maoist rebels ambushed army personnel guarding a telecommunication tower and killed 7 armymen in Dang district.

» Passport: The Government will issue a passport free of cost to a Maoist victim who has to go abroad for foreign employment.
» Campaign: The People's Front Nepal (PFN) has announced to launch an "anti-Maoist campaign". The PFN is protesting against the abductions of PFN cadres in the past.
» Talks: The agitating political parties accepted talks with Maoists under conditions. The parties asked the Maoists to take concrete steps towards implementing their commitments.
» Attack: Maoist rebelsattacked a public meeting organized by the Maoists and injured 16 civilians in Doti district. Befor villagers tried to rescue a local beaten by the Maoists.

» Retaliation: Maoist rebels set fire to passenger buses on the Arniko Highway in Ramechhap district. The Maoist action was a retaliation against the bus owners who failed to register in their 'people's government'.
» Treating Maoists: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has warned its members in bihar state to be extremely careful while treating with patients who suffer from bullet, knife or other injuries as a result of some of the Maoist violence in Nepal.
» Talks: Maoist leader Prachanda said in a statement that the decision of the seven agitating parties to be ready for talks with the Maoists under conditions and to form a negotiating team is positive sign.
» No killings: Royal Nepal Army urged local people not to kill Maoists.
» No transports: Hundreds of the passengers have been stranded along the Ilam- Taplejung road section of Mechi Highway after Maoist rebels forcibly stopped the vehicles one week ago.

» Ambush: A policeman was killed in a Maoist planted ambush at a police checkpost in Rolpa district.
» Shut down: Accusing operators of not obtaining permission from their 'local government", Maoists shut down 20 health clinics in the village areas in Baitadi district.
» Blockade: Maoists blocked the vehicular movement on the Siddhartha Highway.
» Kidnapping: Maoist rebels kidnapped seven civil servants in Ilam district. The Maoists stopped a bus, asked passengers to get down, checked their identity cards and told the seven civil servants to accompany them. A day later all the government workers have been released.
