We
are beginning our tour in Kathmandu.
Your

trek to Kalinchowk. It is about 6 hours' drive from Kathmandu via Arniko
Highway crossing the Bhote Koshi river bridge at Dolalghat and turning east by crossing the Sun Koshi river. |

|
The
mountainous road (Lamosangu - Jiri
Road) climbs up to 2600 m altitude providing the spectacular panoramic
view of the mountains to the east and west before gently descending to
Charikot. The place Charikot is situated at 2000 m altitude from sea level
and 1000 m above the Tama Koshi river valley.
2nd
Day:
Your
next day or second day in trekking: After a nice breakfast trek will start
targeting toward Kalinchowk Hill Top, north-west of Charikot by
gently climbing up for Gairi Kharkha Camp via Deurali. Most
part of the area is surrounded by green forests with fresh air and shadowy
ways. On occasions you will see several kinds of flowers in the forest
- red and dark red rhododendrons - and hear the sweet voice of several
kinds of birds. You will be lost in joys with this beautiful nature and
you will forget all your boredoms by nature beauty.

Your
third day will start with spectacular views of the Numbur Himal with range to Gauri Shankar.
Till your lunch Camp at Kuri, the area is covered with rhododendron

in August/September every year.
4th

all previous camps in a single day, which is about 6 hours descending.
On that day if group would like to sightsee or hike around Dolakha,
it takes about 15 minutes by drive or one hour on foot. |
|

This
town is famous for old traditional Bhimeshwor
temple and old Newar society. The visit is worthwhile and it broadens
one's feeling about culture and people. No doubt group will get back to Charikot with such feeling in mind.
